In 2019, the USAID Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity (USHA), alongside partners SATO and Nice House of Plastics (NHOP), designed the Sons and Daughters of the Soil (SODAS) campaign to promote SATO Pans and SATO Stools. This case study details the campaign’s activities and highlights its unique approach, which harnessed the influential power of young, modern, urbanites to bring city sanitation standards to their rural family homes.
