Evaluation Report: Mozambique’s Strengthening Communities through Integrated Programming (SCIP) Ex-Post Evaluation

Summary

This report presents findings from an ex-post evaluation of the WASH component of the Strengthening Communities through Integrated Programming (SCIP) activity implemented from 2009–2015 in Zambézia Province, Mozambique. SCIP Zambézia designed WASH interventions to increase hygiene practices and use of clean water and sanitation facilities using CLTS and participatory hygiene and sanitation transformation (PHAST).

The report is the final in a series of six ex-post evaluations designed to provide evidence of the factors impacting sustainability of USAID–funded WASH activities. USAID and other stakeholders will use the evaluation to improve the design, effectiveness, and sustainability of future WASH activities.
