Addressing the Household Liquidity Gap through Financing

Summary

USAID's Uganda Sanitation for Health Activity (USHA) commissioned a Rural Households and Institutional Survey which revealed that limited access to financing, especially for poorer, rural households, can impede access to improved sanitation as seasonal incomes and/or little to no savings means they are unable to pay for improved latrines. This brief document's USHA's work to bridge the household liquidity barrier to sanitation improvement.
