Adaptsai Perubahan Iklim dan Ketangguhan (APIK)

 

USAID Indonesia’s “Adaptasi Perubahan Iklim dan Ketangguhan” (APIK) Project is a five year initiative supporting the Government of Indonesia to strengthen climate and disaster resilience, working in an integrated manner from the national level down to the regional and community levels.

Activity Description

APIK will:

  • Mainstream climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction into national and subnational governance frameworks;
  • Build the capacity of local communities and the private sector to address climate change and weather-related natural hazards; and
  • Support the use of information for climate and disaster risk management among key stakeholders.

Expected Outcomes

  • Integrate climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction into national level policy and coordination;
  • Enhance subnational government and community resilience to climate change and weather-related natural disasters;
  •  Strengthen targeted climate and weather information systems;
  •  Awareness and capacity development for the private sector;
  •  Project coordination and documentation.
