The USAID-supported Kenya Integrated Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (KIWASH) project works to improve the lives and health of one million Kenyans in nine counties. Launched in 2015, the five-year project focuses on the development and management of sustainable water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) services and increased access to irrigation and nutrition services. In this February 2018 television report, NTV Kenya explores how a recently launched collaborative effort between KIWASH and the government of Busia County will benefit more than 12,000 households in Funyula and Budalangi, helping these communities overcome water shortages. USAID Acting Global Water Coordinator James Peters attended the launch event to celebrate Busia County's new and improved drinking water supply.
