In 2022, Ghana was re-designated as a High-Priority Country. USAID is working with partners in Ghana to:
- Provide access to basic drinking water services for an estimated 500,000 people
- Provide basic sanitation to an estimated 500,000 people
- Expand WASH access for an estimated 200 health facilities and schools
- Improve governance of and strengthen 40 national, subnational, parastatal, and local-level institutions
- Mobilize $20 million in public and private financing for the WASH sector
