The 2023 Global Water Strategy Annual Report (previously the Water and Development Report) explores USAID’s water security, sanitation, and hygiene activities and highlights USAID’s achievements towards goals set out in the U.S. Global Water Strategy 2022-2027.
We are proud to share that in Fiscal Year 2022, USAID supported 5.2 million people to gain access to sustainable drinking water services; 4 million people to gain access to sustainable sanitation services; and mobilized $133 million in funding to the water and sanitation sectors.
