Adapting to Climate Change in Eastern Indonesia - Final Evaluation Report

The final evaluation of the World Neighbors (WN)’s program “Adapting to Climate Change in Eastern Indonesia” World Neighbors (MW) was conducted for 24 days from August 12 – September 9, 2013, with field visits to 17 villages or 22% of the total 78 villages in the five Islands (Flores, Timor, Sumba, Lombok and Sumbawa) where the program is implemented.


Economic Development for a Sustainable Environment (DEED) - Performance Evaluation Final Report

This is a performance evaluation for the DEED (Développement Economique pour un Environnement Durable) project implemented in the Montrouis (January 2008-January 2011) and Limbé (January 2008-November 2012) watersheds. The evaluation is directed at addressing DEED effectiveness and providing recommendations that can guide informed decisions in terms of designing and implementing environmental and agricultural projects in Haiti. 


Securing Water for Food: Annual Report

Securing Water for Food (SWFF) released its annual report, highlighting the program’s successes in the last year while identifying places for growth. In Project Year 2, SWFF’s activities focused on improving gender integration across all processes, improving local technical assistance and acceleration support for innovators, and outreach for the Fourth Global Call for Innovations.


Kenya Agriculture Value Chain Enterprises

KAVES aims to improve economic stability and food security by improving nutritional outcomes, providing WASH training, reducing chronic under-nutrition, building and diversifying sustainable value chains, and increasing productivity and incomes of 500,000 smallholders. The project works in 22 counties in high rainfall and ASAL areas.


Productive Safety Net Program Graduation with Resilience to Sustainable Development

PSNP-GRAD seeked to bring change on multiple levels including: economic opportunities, financial services, agricultural extension services, women’s resiliency, nutritional status, and climate change resiliency, while creating a sustainable environment that is collaborative and inclusive for participants, in order to graduate families out of social assistance programs, and create long term food security for communities in Ethiopia.


Lowland Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene Project in Ethiopia

The lowland areas of Ethiopia, with arid and semi-arid agro-ecology, are under increasing pressure due to several stress factors including climate variability and change, population pressure, natural resources degradation, inadequate policy support and a reduction in local peoples’ coping capacity. A lack of social services including water supply and sanitation facilities, and limited opportunities for livelihoods diversification, are exacerbating the negative impacts on the population.


Empowering New Generations to Improve Nutrition and Economic Opportunities

A major part of ENGINE’s technical assistance work was to promote nutrition-sensitive agriculture techniques and livestock management to increase production and consumption of diverse foods (e.g., homestead production of horticultural crops and livestock such as chicken, demonstration of agronomic practices and preparation of diversified foods at farmers training centers and schools, and public-private partnership to avail high productive chicken).
