Kabarole WASH Sustainability Actor and Factor Analysis

Summary

This report presents findings from a study of stakeholder network relationships and factors affecting WASH sustainability in Kabarole District, Uganda as part of the USAID-funded Sustainable WASH Systems (SWS) Learning Partnership, led by University of Colorado Boulder and implemented in Uganda by IRC and Tetra Tech.

This study was carried out by Aguaconsult and IRC. The study aims to support the Learning Alliance in Kabarole to develop intervention strategies for improving WASH services by providing insight into the system of actors and factors that influence the sustainability of services. The study, which focuses on addressing rural water supply, was conducted over a four-day period in September 2017 and the scope included a pre-determined list of stakeholders central to WASH issues in Kabarole District at Regional, District, Sub County and Parish levels.
