Averting a Cholera Epidemic in the Wake of Dual Natural Disasters

In March 2019, Tropical Cyclone Idai made landfall in Mozambique, leaving massive floods and the threat of waterborne disease in its wake. Within days, a USAID–led disaster assistance response team partnered with other agencies on the ground to help restore access to safe water and avert a cholera epidemic.
