Upcoming Webinar: H2O Maghreb – Providing Innovative Training for Young Water Professionals. Photo credit: UNIDO

Mitigating water scarcity is a national priority in Morocco, where a growing population, rapid urbanization, and developing economy are increasing the country’s demand for water. This webinar will present information on the H2O Maghreb project, a public-private partnership initiative that aims to improve industrial and municipal water management practices in an inclusive and sustainable way.

The webinar will be held on Wednesday, October 2 (9–10 a.m. EDT/3–4 p.m. CEST) in English, and again on Thursday, October 3 (9–10 a.m. EDT/ 3–4 p.m. CEST) in French.

The objectives of the webinar are to:

  • Inform participants about the H2O Maghreb program
  • Discuss the relevance of working on education/training in the water sector for other regions
  • Identify areas of mutual interest to replicate the project

Salma KadiriSalma Kadiri | USAID
Salma Kadiri has been a project management specialist at the USAID/Morocco Economic Growth Office since 2016. She has a range of experience working on programs in Morocco related to governance, sustainable development, and microfinance. Salma has an M.Sc. in Microfinance from the University of Bergamo in Italy.


Stefan WindbergerStefan Windberger |  UNIDO
Stefan Windberger has been working on public-private development partnerships for UNIDO since 2016. He supports the coordination of UNIDO’s Learning and Knowledge Development Facility and works for H2O Maghreb as an outreach specialist. Stefan holds an M.Sc. in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics.


Ulrike BletterieUlrike Bletterie |  UNIDO
Ulrike Bletterie works as a project coordinator at UNIDO and has served in that capacity on the H2O Maghreb project since its start in 2017. Ulrike holds a Ph.D. in water quality management and has worked in research and training for water- and wastewater-related subjects for over 10 years.



Maximilien PierottiMaximilien Pierotti |  UNIDO
Maximilien Pierotti is the technical coordinator for H2O Magreb in Morocco. He serves as international program coordinator for several USAID-funded partnership projects that focus on the education sector, providing technical and management support for the design and delivery of vocational training programs.
