2019 Global WASH Cluster Partners Meeting and Emergency Environmental Health Forum (EEHF)

The Global WASH Cluster (GWC) is holding its 2019 Partners Meeting and Emergency Environmental Health Forum (EEHF) from June 17-21 in Geneva, Switzerland.

The theme for this year's meeting is Capacity of the WASH Sector, a topic of growing importance accelerated during recent exchanges between the GWC, the Inter-Agency WASH Group and other key stakeholders about how we can collectively address some of the largest challenges facing our sector. The intended outcomes of this of this meeting is to have concrete and actionable recommendations at the end of 2 days which they present to the Emergency Directors to get their support.

About the GWC

In 2005, the Humanitarian Reform Agenda reviewed the effectiveness of emergency response in order to enhance predictability, accountability and partnership. The cluster approach was one of the elements introduced by this reform, with a clear mandate for improving coordination in emergencies. The Global WASH Cluster (GWC) is a partnership of 77 organizations, led by UNICEF and formed in 2006. USAID is an associate member of the GWC.
