In Asia, USAID’s water programs improve health outcomes, reduce hunger, build resilience to environmental shocks, enhance water security, and help communities more sustainably manage their natural resources.
USAID Missions work in partnership with governments, donors, civil society organizations, development partners, and other U.S. Government agencies to identify and address development challenges associated with water supply, sanitation, and hygiene. Across Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, and the Middle East, USAID’s regional- and country-level missions are helping implement a new generation of water programs under the U.S. Government Global Water Strategy and USAID’s Water and Development Plan that focus on increasing the availability and sustainable management of safe water and sanitation for the underserved and most vulnerable.
